Annual Travel

Annual travel insurance can come in the form of a recurring single trip travel plan, or as a constant policy that covers all trips a traveler takes at any time of the year. This type of insurance is recommended for those that travel quite frequently for business or pleasure within the United States or around the world. There are many facets involved when determining the right coverage. These facets include coverage based on a trip by trip basis, a generalized minimum coverage plan, and an all inclusive maximum coverage plan. Annual traveling insurance has a variety of flexible payment plans with adjustable deductible premium rates.

Some Christians are hesitant to purchase this type of coverage. They may feel that the purchase of annual travel insurance shows their lack of faith in God's ability to protect and provide for them. The Bible does not specifically address the purchase, but it does stress the importance of preparing ahead, for a future disaster. One can never adequately prepare for the future, but if finances are not an issue, it certainly doesn't hurt to purchase the annual traveling insurance desired that could prevent unfortunate devastation. "And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine." (Genesis 41:35-36)

This coverage typically includes all trip cancellation and trip interruption problems. Some policies only cover the air flight over, and most definitely include the protection of lost baggage or accidents that may occur while on the airplane, boarding the plane, or leaving the plane. Additional extended baggage coverage can be added on a per trip basis for an annual travel insurance policy. This extended baggage coverage includes all baggage and personal possessions if the baggage is delayed, lost, or damaged during the travel. In order to file a claim for the replacement or reimbursement of the baggage, an insurance form for the contents must have been filled out prior to travel. While annual traveling insurance is a wonderful option for frequent travelers, there are still rules and regulations that must be adhered to.

These rules and regulations ensure that the policy can remain in effect and valid when the traveler needs the protection most. Each trip will have the flexibility of adding on or eliminating specific options. It is important to fill out the necessary paperwork prior to departure for the trip to ensure any miscommunications about what the agency will and will not cover during a particular trip. It is recommended that annual traveling insurance be purchased at the minimum premiums and coverage, with additional options being purchased to specifically tailor each trip.
